WIT Studio has teamed up with Google Play to produce a new short anime commercial series titled Becoming Overpowered With Google Play?! Reincarnated as an Android User (Google Play De Cho Muso?! Tensei Shitara Android User datta).
The series premiered on June 16, 2025, and will run through July 21, with new 15-second episodes released weekly on Google Play’s official YouTube channel and X.
The anime follows a gamer who suddenly finds himself reincarnated into Google Play World, where gaming skills are revered. Now wielding an Android smartphone, the protagonist experiences one envy-worthy event after another in this gamer’s paradise.

The series also features the theme song “Insomnia” by singer-songwriter Eve.
Yasuhiro Akamatsu, known for his work on Attack On Titan, is directing the series, with acclaimed director Masaaki Yuasa credited with visual concept contribution.
KURO serves as the character designer, while Arifumi Okada and Kazuo Nagai are handling concept art and background design. Sound direction is helmed by Masafumi Mima, known for his work on My Hero Academia and Attack On Titan.
