TV Asahi has announced a new weekly anime project titled Light Novel Anime, set to premiere on July 12, 2025, in its late-night ANiMAZiNG!!! programming block.
The series will feature episodes based on original stories penned by popular light novel authors, including Re:Zero creator Tappei Nagatsuki and The Apothecary Diaries author Natsu Hyuuga.
The project is a collaborative effort that pairs the light novel writers with popular illustrators to produce short anime episodes. Each episode will run approximately five minutes.
The series aims to deliver never-before-seen stories that are easy to watch, just like reading a light novel through this compact storytelling format.
- Heartbreak Time Leap
Written by Nigoju (The Detective Is Already Dead), this story follows a high school boy who repeatedly time-leaps to win over the girl who rejected him.- Original Story/Script: Nigoju

- Femme Fatale Training Project
Written by Natsu Hyuuga (The Apothecary Diaries), the story centers on a chubby high school girl who decides to lose weight and become a femme fatale to take revenge on the man who hurt her cousin.- Original Story: Natsu Hyuuga

- I Reincarnated as Marie Antoinette, So I’m Desperately Avoiding the Guillotine
Written by Shoko Amano (Yorozu Uranaidokoro Onmyoya E Yokoso), this reincarnation comedy follows a modern-day otaku high school girl who wakes up as Marie Antoinette and tries to avoid execution by forming the first idol group in Versailles.- Original Story/Script: Shoko Amano

A teaser trailer featuring key visuals from all four titles has also been revealed.
The project will also release two of the four anime shorts early via its official YouTube channel. Beginning June 12, two episodes will be uploaded over 10 consecutive days.
