Brand new trailer and visual for Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe has been revealed, confirming that the highly anticipated sequel will now premiere in Japan on Jan 30, 2026.
The film, directed by Shukou Murase, marks the second entry in the planned Gundam Hathaway trilogy and will also screen in North America at a later date.
The film will continue the story of Hathaway Noa as he struggles between his unresolved feelings for Gigi and his mission aligned with MAFTY, Kenneth preparing for the suppression of MAFTY, and Gigi herself, whose presence will alter the course of both men’s destinies in an intense space opera of drama, combat, and emotional complexity
Kensho Ono reprises his role as Hathaway, joined by Reina Ueda as Gigi and Junichi Suwabe as Kenneth. The cast also shared their thoughts on the sequel. Their comments can be read below:

Hathaway is a man who questions the world itself — torn by doubts about what justice means and what he is truly fighting for. He suffers in solitude as he struggles with those questions, while Gigi’s presence grows ever larger, spiraling out of control. Is it the world that’s gone mad, or is it something else?

The Sorcery of Nymph Circe serves as the second entry in the Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway film trilogy, following the success of the first installment, which premiered in Japan on June 11, 2021, after multiple delays.
The 2021 film grossed over 2.2 billion yen (about USD19.5 million), becoming the first Gundam feature since 1988’s Char’s Counterattack to surpass the one-billion-yen mark at the Japanese box office. It also began streaming exclusively on Netflix U.S. in July 2021.
The Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway trilogy adapts Yoshiyuki Tomino’s 1989–1990 novel series set in the Universal Century timeline.
