Toho Animation released a new trailer for Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Season 2, on November 20, 2025. The trailer focuses on Frieren’s journey ahead and reveals that the anime will premiere on January 16, 2026.

Furthermore, the manga of the series recently went on a hiatus for an undefined time period due to the author’s and artist’s health concerns.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End (Sousou no Frieren) has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday since 2020, with its chapters collected in 14 tankobon volumes as of March 2025.
By February 2025, the manga had over 24 million copies in circulation.
The series is licensed for English release in North America by Viz Media and in Southeast Asia by Shogakukan Asia.
