The One Piece franchise officially announced that renowned voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda will voice Figarland Shamrock, the twin brother of Shanks and commander of the Knights of Gods, in a new promotional video commemorating the release of the manga’s 113th volume.
The PV was unveiled through the series’ official X account, ahead of the manga volume’s release on Nov. 4 in Japan.
The video opens with Shanks (voiced by Shuichi Ikeda) before introducing Shamrock, who declares, “That pirate is my long-lost twin brother,” followed by the line, “The warriors of Elbaf will soon be brought under the command of the World Government.”
This marks Tsuda’s third role within the One Piece universe. In addition to voicing Figarland Shamrock, he previously portrayed Yonji, the fourth son of the Vinsmoke family from the Germa Kingdom, and Gordon, the former king of the Elegia Kingdom and the foster parent of Uta in One Piece Film Red.
The One Piece anime’s Elbaf arc will begin in April 2026, following the conclusion of the Egghead arc, which will end in December 2025. After the current arc concludes, the anime will take a three-month production hiatus from January to March 2026.
Beginning in 2026, One Piece will adopt a two split-cour format, airing a maximum of 26 episodes per year instead of continuous weekly broadcasts. The Elbaf arc, which will run for two cours, will be the first to follow this new structure.
According to Toei Animation, the production change is a deliberate effort to enhance quality, allowing future episodes to “incorporate more content, tempo, and pacing of the manga.”
