Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26 anthology anime has released eight new promotional videos, each previewing one of the shorts and highlighting the distinctive vision of its director. The trailers were posted on the anime’s official website on Oct 24, 2025.
The anthology adapts Fujimoto’s manga collections Tatsuki Fujimoto Before Chainsaw Man 17-21 and Tatsuki Fujimoto Before Chainsaw Man 22-26 into eight short anime films, including A Couple Clucking Chickens Were Still Kickin’ in the Schoolyard, Sasaki Stopped a Bullet, Love is Blind, Shikaku, Mermaid Rhapsody, Woke-Up-as-a-Girl Syndrome, Nayuta of the Prophecy, and Sisters.

The anthology had a world premiere in the United States on Oct 5, 2025, during the Global Stage Hollywood Film Festival at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatre in Hollywood. It also started a limited two-week run in nine Japanese cinemas starting Oct17, screening in two four-episode parts.
The entire eight-episode anthology will be available for streaming in over 240 countries and territories on Prime Video beginning Nov 7.
Two of the shorts, A Couple Clucking Chickens Were Still Kickin’ in the Schoolyard and Shikaku, have also been nominated in the Short Film category at the Bucheon International Animation Festival in South Korea, where they will screen during the festival on Oct 25.
